(UBM) operations in Puerto Rico and the Caribbean to better serve its client’s commercial and industrial facilities.

Waldemar Toro, ASI’s General Manager, explained that with the acquisition, ASI strengthens its leadership in integrating Heating Ventilation & Air Conditioning (HVAC) maintenance and installations resources by adding UBM’s leading expertise in steam generation, and power and hydronics.  “By integrating UBM’s capabilities, ASI will continue to better serve its clients’ commercial and industrial facilities mechanical, electrical and mission-critical systems maintenance and installations needs,” Toro said.
With a staff of over 40 well-trained, expert multidisciplinary engineers and technicians and UBM’s expertise, ASI continues to guarantee the best planning, installation, commission and maintenance of mission critical building systems with 24/7 troubleshooting, preventive and corrective maintenance services, as well as offering excellent turnkey contracting solutions for its clients.

UBM Engineering, the engineered sales arm of UBM, will remain operating as a division of ASI, focused on engineered equipment sales and turn-key contract solutions, added Toro.
According to Mr. Toro, ASI is currently evaluating additional merger and acquisition opportunities, as it continues to expand its service capabilities and its costumers in Puerto Rico, the Caribbean, and the Americas.
